Knowledge Bowl Heads to Regionals
On February 26, our varsity Knowledge Bowl team, along with Mr. Van Duzor, traveled to Lower Columbia College to participate in Regionals. The team finished 1st place in their division! Next stop is State on March 23 in Wenatchee. Great job, Knowledge Bowl team! Good luck at State!
Engineering Field Trip
During National Engineers Week in February, the US Army Corps of Engineers hosted Mr. Hawkins and two juniors for a day of hands-on learning to explore the various engineering disciplines. Each year, the goal of the event is to inspire the next generation of local students to turn their STEM interests into rewarding careers.
Academic All-Stars
Congratulations to our Academic All-Stars! At the end of Semester 1, we had six students on the Principal’s List (3.85-4.0 GPA). We also have two students whose GPA jumped a full 1.0 from their previous year’s GPA – incredibly impressive! We are proud of all our students; keep up the great work!
Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences
March 18-22, 2024
Conferences last 90 minutes, giving parents an opportunity to meet with their student’s instructors and limit the time they spend waiting. PCIA parents should have received a Google Sheet from Ms. Herman to sign up and can contact Ms. Herman if those days/times do not work for them.
PCIA Lock-In
This month, PCIA ASB is hosting its 3rd annual lock-in for all our PCIA students. There will be games in the gym, food and video games in the cafeteria, movies in the library (G or PG ratings), and card/board games in the Owls Nest. Students will sign up to bring food and drinks to share throughout the night. ASB will also seek out food donations for pizza and sandwiches. Lock-in begins immediately after school (students must return to school no later than 8:00 PM if they need to go home first) and ends at 6:00 AM the following morning.
Snow Make-Up Days
Mr. Rogers is currently looking at various scenarios to see how the district can make up the two extra snow days that were used due to inclement weather. More information will be sent out to families in the coming weeks.
