To the Mill A Community,
I am so thrilled to be part of the Mill A School District team!
I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, where I learned to love the outdoors and the Green Bay Packers. I tried living in a few other places as an adult but settled in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where my love of the outdoors has continued to grow.
Prior to becoming an educator, I worked for several years as a branch manager for credit unions and banks until I was fortunate enough to have the support of my amazing husband, allowing me to pursue my dream of becoming an educator. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Education from Eastern Oregon University. I then obtained my Principal License from George Fox University.
My husband, Kerey, and I have three children. The two oldest boys are out pursuing life, and our youngest (and only girl) is entering the 8th grade and bringing us daily joy and giggles. We also have two dogs, a cat, and fish to make sure we are never without snuggles. We love spending time outdoors; we camp, fish, and hike whenever we have the chance.
If I am not spending time with your family, my family, or studying, you will most likely find me on my paddleboard or doing an art project. I love to paint, build things, and be creative in any way I can.
I look forward to partnering with faculty, staff, students, families, and the community on this amazing journey!
Sincerely,
Kelly Stickel
